PG Diploma in Counselling, Counselling Children Training, Diploma in Casework Supervision, MBACP Accredited
Rosie trained and worked as a general and paediatric nurse for several years before deciding to train as a counsellor. Over the last fifteen years she has enjoyed working as a counsellor, supporting and counselling children, adolescents and adults within various settings, the NHS, GP practice, secondary schools and in voluntary organizations.
Rosie believes in the person-centred approach with the importance of a person being heard and given space to explore the significant issues, where the person can trust to look more into their past and present experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Rosie works in an accepting, non judgmental, empathic way, encouraging the child, young person or adult to look into their worries and concerns, to find their own solutions and achieve positive outcomes for their future. She is happy to work with any issue the person wishes to bring.
She adheres to the ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling (BACP) in her professional practice as a counsellor and counselling supervisor, with confidentiality and respect of the client, their wishes and needs, being paramount.
