Mark Hancock

Mark is the Head of Counselling & Psychotherapy at Rowan. He is a professionally qualified and registered psychoanalytic psychotherapist providing therapy to individuals and couples, and supervision and consultation to other professionals and trainees. Mark has specialist training and experience in working with trauma.

In addition to working at Rowan, he works as a psychotherapist for an organisation that provides therapeutic services to people who have experienced torture and organised violence. Additionally, Mark is a tutor at the Scottish Institute of Human Relations.

Previously, he worked in a general psychotherapy service in the NHS and he also ran a service for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, rape/sexual assault and domestic violence.
