Kate started her initial counselling training through this very organisation, gaining the COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate with Rowan Consultancy. She then went on to complete her BACP accredited Person Centred Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy delivered by Persona Development and Training and awarded by the University of Stirling.
Kate believes that as a person-centred counsellor she provide vital support to facilitate the personal growth and relationships of an individual by allowing them to explore and utilise their own strengths and personal identity. Kate works in an empathetic, non-judgemental way which allows an individual to keep control over the content and pace of sessions.
She has enjoyed working as a counsellor in a range of settings including the NHS, voluntary sector and in Higher Education.
Prior to training as a counsellor, Kate worked in a range of advisory, support and training roles within both the private and public sectors.
